Two examples of New Year greetings Wynne received – the first is from Capt Lyster in his prison camp, and had a simple pencil greeting on the back:
“To wish you all luck and a happier New Year – P E L.”

The second is an interesting example of a card produced in the field – designed by a Sergeant (B.G.Tomkins), it appears to have been sent from the Dardanelles, which the Allies had finally evacuated on December 20th.
