A holiday in Devon
August 1st – 7th
Wynne pays a tearful farewell to Bulford.
Herbert is gazetted out of his command of the 33rd Brigade with much ceremony.
August 8th – 14th
The family take a house at Lee in Devon.
Swimming, walking and good weather for a change.
August 15th – 22nd
Bathing, picnics and walks to Ilfracombe and Morte Point.
August 23rd – 31st
Walks to Rockham and the wonderfully named Damage Farm.
