The Diary in October
Homeless, the family go to stay with Herbert's mother in Chelmsford.
October 1st – 12th
Based at the family home, they explore the countryside and go up to London to shop and attend a wedding at which the children are train-bearers.
The children start lessons.
October 13th – 31st
In and out of London theatres…
and a stay in Staplehurst to say goodbye to her cousin Yso before she went back to India.
