The Diary in December
A month of Christmas preparations!
December 1st – 7th
District work and charitable sales.
December 8th – 15th
Christmas shopping and sweet making do not yet displace entirely the district duties.
December 16th – 24th
Christmas excitement mounts, parcels arrive at all hours, and the family gather for the celebration.
A little tree is brought in for Christmas Eve.
December 25th – 31st
The big tree is dressed, presents laid out and the 6 dozen candles lit. It is “undressed” the following day!
A happy year – though one with much anxiety internationally and nationally.
