The Coronation of King George V.

Celebrations in London and a visit to the Royal Review at Spithead.

June 1st – 8th

Army duties, dinners and gardening. Wynne celebrates 10 years of married life.

June 9th – 18th

Another week of glorious weather. Wynne’s Uncle, Arthur Butler, dies.

June 19th – 23rd

The Coronation. Wynne avoids the main event, but goes to London for the royal procession on 23rd. Rain elsewhere but London avoids the worst.

June 24th – 30th

They attend to the Royal Review of the Navy at Spithead, and watch the Royal Yacht progress down the endless lines of ships. Dinners, garden parties, fun – and then the horses go down with mange.
