The Diary in January

Wynne has been keeping her diaries since 1895. Wynne now has 10 volumes on her desk, and has become completely committed to the task.

January 1st – 8th

Wynne and her family are in comfortable army accommodation in Aldershot. Her brother Elliot in India prepares for the great Durbar.

January 9th – 13th

Suicides, parish magazines, Australian Egyptians! Plus a birthday
and a Mother’s Meeting.

January 15th
– 21st

A London holiday
on her way to visit her in-laws’ in Chelmsford.

January 22nd – 27th

At the family home, “Springfield”,
in Chelmsford, Essex…and then back to London

January 29th

A final day in London
taking in another show: Max Reinhardt’s famous play, “The Miracle”
