The Diary in June
A retirement holiday on the Continent: a second honeymoon.
June 1st – 10th
Officially retired, and after sorting out
the family home, Wynne and Herbert leave for the continent. They
travel to the Tyrol via Nurnberg and Munich
June 11th – 15th
They leave Munich and travel on to Kufstein,
Rattenberg and Jenbach
June 16th – 19th
On to Innsbruck, then via Matrei, Steinach
and the Brenner Pass to Bozen…
June 20th – 24th
Mountain excursions, then back up the road
they’d already travelled, to Waidbruck and S. Ubrich. Magical mountain
walks and peaceful days.
June 25th – 30th
To Klausen, Sterzing and Steinbach
before returning to Innsbruck. She makes a flower list.
