Wynne's old family home, Brookfield, is vacated.  Army duties begin to wind down.

May 1st – 7th

Cold weather and numerous chores as Wynne’s
duties begin to wind down

May 8th – 14th

Anniversaries, flying accidents, and other
events. Contracts are exchanged on Brookfield, the old family home

May 15th – 21st

Pleasures in London, including the Chelsea
Flower Show, and house hunting in Ipswich.

May 22nd – 27th

Back from Suffolk, where an election caused
a major political upset. Another flying accident.

May 28th – 31st

Wynne and Herbert travel to Brookfield to
help her Mother pack up the old house. The Empress of Ireland liner
sinks.
