The death of Earl Poulett, WAACs, and local chores occupy her.

Wynne decides to send her two daughters to school!

July 1st – 13th

Baby Welfare, cooking lectures, and the endless hospital work. The news of Lord Poulett’s death stuns the village

July 14th – 19th

The funeral of Earl Poulett, the village all agog. Wynne works at the hospital and in the garden.

July 20th – 24th

The momentous decision to send the two girls to school. They are 10 and 14! Wynne decides on a school in Malvern. Meanwhile the WAACs get a rough press from her.

July 25th – 30th

Duties continue and she receives a letter from William Gilham you can read in the previous window.
