Wynne loses another cousin, Herman.

She is part of the inauguration of the local Women's Institute

 

 

 

May 1st – 8th

The Women’s Institute comes to Somerset. Postage goes up – the days of the halfpenny postcard are over for ever.

May 9th – 13th

Wynne travels to Southampton to visit her brother. While there a visit to Lyndhurst evokes memories of the 1914 call-up

May 14th – 19th

A letter from the Palestinian front line – the inaugural meeting of the local W.I. – and news of her cousin’s death. Wynne stops writing after 19th.
