PEACE!

November 1st – 8th

Wynne and her husband are in London. Wynne is recovering from flu, but manages to get to the theatre. Her brother leaves for India.

November 9th – 13th

PEACE. Extraordinary scenes in the country. Chaos and abdications abroad. Every daily paer is read from cover to cover.

November 14th – 21st

The British Army begins its march into Germany, and at home everyone prepares for a general election. Rationing continues.

November 22nd – 30th

Schools close – her son’s because of the flu epidemic. The local war hospital starts to close down too – Wynne is thankful that war work will end.
