Strikes and general unrest.

Win, who has been with the family throughout the War, is finally off home to her parents in India.

February 1st – 6th

Strikes and freezing weather make life difficult. “A spirit of Bolshevism” is in the air and Wynne praises the Defence of the Realm Act.

February 7th – 22nd

Railways, Engineers, even Waiters are all on strike. Village visiting and W.I. work keep Wynne busy.

February 24th – 28th

Win, Wynne’s niece, who has lived with the family throughout the War, finally gets a berth on a boat to take her home to India.
