“Will things ever be normal again?”

They finally leave Hinton in Somerset.

October 1st – 5th

The strikes continue, and Wynne thinks that while this period might well be of interest to historians, it is not much fun to live through.

October 6th – 19th

The strike finally comes to an end, but rationing continues and coal is very hard to come by. The house is packed up and the move north takes place.
