The Diary in January

The family are very happily settled in their house overlooking the Severn, in Gloucestershire.

January 1st – 14th

A new year, and Wynne is still busy doing most of the housework but a maid returns to help.

A lunch with Lady Paget is enjoyed.

January 15th – 27th

The children go back to school

Wynne hears from Munich of hard times in Germany.

January 29th – 31st

Difficult visits and a case of consumption.

The Sales are on in Gloucester.
