A family holiday by the sea in Wales.

August 1st – 9th

The family decamp to Southerndown, Glamorgan, and settle in.

They call at Dunraven Castle.

August 10th – 17th
Indifferent weather does not put them off. They bathe, walk and continue collecting prawns for their dinner.

August 18th – 24th

High tides and long walks.

They hear the news that Michael Collins has been shot in Ireland.

August 25th – 31st

Their holiday of mixed weather comes to an end.
