The Diary in August
A long London visit.
The family learns to drive a motor car!
August 1st – 10th
A successful Guide Camp concludes.
The family all go to London to bid farewell to Elliot. Wynne’s mother buys his car and gives it to the Jacksons.
August 11th – 15th
In Town. Driving lessons, and many theatre visits.
They spend a day sightseeing, visiting churches.
August 16th – 23rd
Herbert and Wynne go to Romney to visit cousins, the Vanrenens and the Swaynes.
August 24th – 31st
Wynne has her first driving lesson, and Babs has her tonsils out.
The Inns of Court are explored.
