The Diary in February

Removal plans gather pace, and news comes from India that Kenya is being considered as their final destination.

February 1st – 7th

Russian politics, the first thrush, and mail from abroad. Visitors come to see the house and decide if they will take on the lease. The house was rented.

February 8th – 14th

Visiting the sick, and treating themselves to a film in Gloucester. Much turning out and throwing away!

February 15th – 21st

A sale of good for the Guides, the dockers are now on strike, and the wonders of the wireless are mentioned again.

February 22nd – 29th

Letters from India discuss the possibility of Kenya rather than the Cape. Wynne approves. A big Guides competition and more turning out of cupboards.
