The Diary in March

The final month for the family in Gloucestershire.  As a soldier's wife, Wynne has had many temporary homes but she says farewell to this one most reluctantly.

March 1st – 7th

Packing up continues and Wynne comments on religion. They go to see Robin Hood at the cinema.

March 8th – 14th

A final farewell to her Mothers Union, and troubles with flat tyres. Wynne makes it plain she will miss Flaxley.

March 15th – 23rd

The final week at Flaxley. Wynne’s daughter Eleanor is confirmed at Malvern School, and back home the house is finally emptied. Wynne wonders if they will ever be settled.
